Your information is incorrect. The building originally housed a Pioneer Chicken. Later it became the GREEN Onion (not the GREAT Onion.) The Green Onion moved there from the location further east on Huntington that the Great Onion eventually took over.

Tony, no this hasn't been a hospital for quite a few years. It just wasn't economically feasible to retrofit the structure in order for it to be compliant with earthquake codes. Congratulations on the commercial! Ken

Thanks for your feedback. I love hot dogs too, but I must say it is nice once in a while to get a "gourmet" type hot dog. I liked The Slaw Dogs and will go back. But for value, it is hard to beat Costco's $1.63 for a quarter pound hot dog and soda. At least at the Irwindale location, you don't have to be a member to get in to the food court!

I LOVE hot dogs and have been looking forward to its opening for weeks. I also like the idea of supporting local business, especially if not a big chain. Stopped in first Monday it was opened, and will probably never step foot in it again. The menu can be daunting, and I just wanted a little something to get a taste of what they had to offer - but apparently not being under-12, the woman behind the counter refused to sell me a Kid's Meal! At $5.99 it didn't seem like much of a bargain anyway (the couple ahead of me spent $19.00 for really not much more). Considering that a regular customer can frequent a place they like several times a week, week-after-week - it struck me as rather short-sighted. Maybe their business savvy lies elsewhere...

Oh, did I mention I LOVE hot dogs?

YOUR MARKET IS THE BEST, I WISH YOU COULD OPEN ONE IN WEST HILLS OR NORTHRIDGE CALIFORNIA. THE REASON IS THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE COMING FROM ALL THE WAY OVER THERE TO SHOP IN YOUR MARKET FOR HALAL MEAT... MAY ALLAH GIVE YOU MORE SUCCESS, (AMIN.)
